Outlook sort by name, but can't jump to name

Dont gdet me started!

Just encountered this inability to Sort by Sender name and go right to that senders name in the list alphabetically. First time I used it my last name started with a W so it wanted me to scroll forver to W's. Arg. And I just my tirade about MS removing the setting to Download All Images in Settings (now you have to allow for every single email/sender as they come thur...... huh?). Seriously, what are they thinking?

I agree 100% @John Meng!! So extremely frustrating. And also I cannot print out my calendar so it's readable. I have used this method of organization for years, and I feel like I am taking 10 steps backwards.

This is an issue when you do not have an email from the person you are looking for at the top of your inbox... And also, there is a search bar, I could search by sender, but I really do not want a super complicated turnaround for the simplest of operations... @Microsoft: Just let me jump to the first letter of the name when I type it, that's all I need.

in the upper right corner there should be a "go back to old style"

after a little bit of searching, the best option is to just revert to the old outlook.

Please help us in isolating the issue by providing the following information:

1. What version of Outlook are you using? Go to File > Office account > About Outlook. See What version of Outlook do I have? (microsoft.com)
2. Are you referring to new outlook Preview (PRE)? If so, you can revert back to "Classic" Outlook by disabling New Outlook toggle or close outlook and open outlook by using outlook.exe instead of olk.exe. New Outlook is installed, and old outlook is still there, if the toggle switch is missing, you may go to Windows Start and search for Outlook, you will see both outlook, there is Outlook with PRE for new outlook in which you can open by olk.exe and the other outlook for the old in which you can use outlook.exe to open it.
3. If doesn't work, follow steps in this article, How to revert to an earlier version of Office (microsoft.com) to revert to the previous version of office:
   • Step 1: Set a reminder to enable automatic updates at a future date.
   • Step 2: Install the previous version of Office: Check and download the version you want from Update history for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise (listed by date)
   • Step 3: Disable automatic updates for Office.
