Why is Hotmail Spam Filtering So Bad???

This is the WORST spam filtering of any of my email programs.

I am constantly getting junk in my inbox and important emails are sent to spam.

Even my upcoming vacation flight emails from delta airlines and other businesses. This is causing havoc and stress I don't need!

What are my options? Increase spam filtering and send more important emails to junk?

Lessen spam filtering and get more junk in my inbox????

Don: To say, 'flagging emails improves Hotmail's filtering ability,' simply isn't accurate. I mark every single spam email as spam and every phishing email as phishing, yet I have literally HUNDREDS of spam and phishing emails show up in my INBOX every week. It's ridiculous, and it seems like it's getting worse, not better. I've been a Hotmail user since the 90s and always preferred it over the alternatives; but it's getting to the point where it's not worth it.

I have no reason to think that outlook.com ignores all of the "Senf to Junk" feedback it receives. But I've never said that outlook will immediately, or even quickly, classify these as Junk for all users.

So, yeah, I agree and have said that outlook.com seems to have the worst spam management of the big 3.

    Don

I think its been pretty much established that Hotmail is a MS throw away application and they don't intend to fix it and want people to get Outlook instead.

Same solution as old Bermuda Triangle. There is no solution.

    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

You can try setting your spam blocking level. Spam is actually related to the server, we can set it up in Outlook, but the main thing is whether the server can better intercept spam.

Feel free to post back if you have any additional questions.

    Best Regard,
