Outlook does not reconnect after waking from sleep mode

Hi,

When I leave my computer idle so it enters sleep mode outlook does not reconnect to server and cannot update the latest emails. Closing the program down and starting again means that outlook will not even open. The only way I can get outlook to open up again properly is to restart the PC.

Is there a better fix than this, as it is rather annoying than to have to restart all the time.

I can confirm I have the latest updates for windows 11 and Microsoft office programs.

Thanks

Thanks so much for involving yourself in this craziness. I appreciate it, and I appreciate you.

While I am a Dell user (XPS 15 9570), I don't run ExpresConnect. I hope those who do will find your tack useful and effective.

Again, thank you. I promise to share whatever I find out here.

    Hi All,

None of the solution provided so far have resolved my issue with Outlook on a Dell XPS laptop, running Office 365, with one shared mailbox, 1IMAP and 2 microsoft accounts. THere is no network connection and turning off anotehr service like googleservice updater does not work, and should not have to be the case that I can only have one program optimised at the expesne of another!

MS get reading on this thread and resolve!

Please read HUITClark's answer, I think your solution is there.

This is helpful for all who use Outlook webmail for their email clients.

Who is not helpful for are those who still use the original Office program, such as Office 2019 for Home and Business.

The answer to this lies with Microsoft, who continues to refuse to address it.

Thanks to @Tica82 for posting it. Microsoft, why not be a good actor here before everyone must use 365.
