How do I get my Outlook mail working again if I cannot generate a new password. I accidently added a folder under the inbox and when I tried to delete I could not. I then lost connection to AOL and could not connect to pull my email. I went to generate a password but I keep getting this feature not available right now.
How can I get my Outlook to pull my email from AOL again?

Excellent, thanks. Good workaround.

In all probability, AOL will not fix the password generator, and will continue to try and force users onto their ad-riddled app or web page. It would be nice to think they could be forced to abandon (or fix) it, but that’s a long shot.
However, here is at least one working solution to circumvent this nonsense (set up & working on 19^th^ Nov, 2022):
Basically, step 1 is to set up, or go to your gmail account, and use it to 1) ‘Import Mail and Contacts’ to import your AOL Contacts, Mail, & New Mail for 30 Days (individually selectable), then 2) Set it up to ‘Check mail from other accounts’ so it will import new mail indefinitely. Step 2 is to set up your preferred email client to pick up on your gmail (which now also has your AOL mail). Your AOL email address & ‘normal’ password are used for this, so the (never-to-be-fixed) Ap Password Generator is not required.

Hope that helps others caught in this trap to escape! 😊
The problem with AOL is AOL. If you have a verizon.net account on AOL and you get a new computer or something went wrong in Microsoft Outlook you need to generate a password on AOL to be able to use Microsoft Outlook. AOL is not working on the password generator so you stuck using their web site. If your Outlook is working then you do not need to generate another password. I have moved most of my important email to gmail. So far the SPAM goes to AOL.

I spent time with a CS person to no avail. She said it's on their end and will be fixed soon. I asked when and she giggled. Unfortunately, I always use Verizon email as my personal email so switching to Gmail will take time. I will just use the aol app and browser sign in and not add this email to Outlook
