"New" Outlook: Add Shared Mailbox to Favorites

Hi,

I manage 3 mailboxes at work and made the mistake of switching to the new Outlook a bit early [my toggle to switch back is gone?] and it's totally messed up my workflow. I was able to find my shared mailboxes after several back and forth with my IT department. Now I need to add the inboxes of those shared mailboxes to my "Favorites" list so I don't have to scroll down constantly to work those accounts.

When I right click on the shared inbox there is no option to "Show in favorites" and I get the circle crossed out when I try to drag them into favorites. Also, in the Favorites folder when I click "Add to Favorites" it brings up something wonky, and mailbox folders don't appear to be an option.

Can anyone tell me how show these shared account folders in my favorites?

Thanks

CM

I'm with you all. I have two work email addresses, and in the classic outlook, that worked just fine. They each had their own entry in the outlook app.

Now, with the new outlook, I can only view the second email address under the "shared with me" tab. That's nowhere near as good.

And to make it worse, I can't even fix the problem by making the second email address, or that email address's inbox, a favourite.

    This needs fixing soon.

Please allow the share mailbox folder to be added to the favorites sooner rather than later!

This lack of functionality in the New Outlook was not thought through and is a total mess. Very disappointed. I also support several people and have noticed flaws in this release within the first 5 min of use. WTH?

The fact this is still an issue is absurd! They force this new outlook onto us, and it does not even perform the same. I cannot even access one whole inbox because of the 'new' update. And now I cannot add a shared inbox to my favorites for easy access. This is ridiculous.

I tried this also, and I don't think by adding favorite and naming the mailbox, that what you are seeing is the inbox. Infact it seems to just be basically searching for emails to/from that address. I can see by the "in folder" tags that the emails displayed are from any number of folders (sent, deleted etc). So it seems to be more of a search than to promote a folder to favorites like you could do before.

I have 5 shared mailboxes which I need to monitor. My personal mailbox is the least interesting, frankly I work out of the others. Even the Inbox on those shared mailboxes are not of interest to me. Under each mailbox I have certain folders allocated to me, those are the ones I need to watch, so promoting them to favorites is the perfect solution. Now I have to basically extend all the mailboxes, folders and subfolders to monitor the ones I need. It's totally inefficient.
