When sending emails from QuickBooks with Outlook, edits are discarded and the mail is sent as created by Quickbooks.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create invoice in QuickBooks, click "Email" button.
  2. A draft email is created in Outlook from your default invoice template with the invoice attached.
  3. Edit that email - add or remove text, and send.
  4. Look in Sent Items. The sent email DOES NOT HAVE YOUR EDITS.

This is subtle, and super annoying - how often do you think to check if your e-mail got sent the way you wrote it? I only noticed because I went back to copy some text that I had written for a new e-mail and saw that it was missing from the email as sent.

    We realized this problem just recently. Because yes....you assume what you typed is what was sent!

    Is there any fix yet?

    It is embarrassing to have sent an email with a canned message that was erroneous to the client. when you thought your customized message was used. I can't tell exactly when this broke. Maybe 10/17/22 or so.

    PLEASE PRIORITIZE!!!

    Andrew, all,

    I was finally able to get a repro and an IDNA trace. We have provided that to Dev and it is being investigated. I will post back when I know more.

    Hello...I needed to create the key...A Dword32 key with a value of 0. And a reboot was necessary as well.

    Worked immediatly

    HUGE thank you to you for providing that ticket number. I was able to speak with Microsoft support today and they gave me the registry key and it solved the issue. Hopefully it does not break again.

    But truly thanks!!

    So I did the same and got the key but that specific value does not exist on the target machine. I can certainly create it but wondering if you noticed it there on your effected machines or if you had to create it?
