Did quick parts disappear with the new outlook? I can't access my old quick parts or make new ones.

Please add quick parts back into the new Outlook - I use it on a daily basis and really can't figure out a way around it.

So you built half a product, pushed it out and cut functionality across the board. What a failure. RESTORE QUICKPARTS

Microsoft needs to roll this new Microsoft all the way back and start over, this new out look is a very watered down Outlook, it makes every day business tasks frustrating at best and that's if you can do the needed task l. There way too much missing functionality that is missing. This is like a crappy apple product

I also am furious MS dumped out quick parts. I just had a professor download the app (to stop using the browser version) to show him all the useful features, only to see Microsoft scrapped it. I can't seem to add Templates to my instance, either.

For those who want more of the functionality of the old Quick Parts, here's an old school approach (from before they had Quick Parts):

Workaround Solution: Use MS's "Signature" feature for your quick parts instead.

1. In an open email, copy the text/content you want to reuse.
2. Go to 'Insert'
3. Select the "Signature' dropdown and select 'Signatures..."
4. Paste the text in the box. Add a name. Save.
5. In new emails, you can now use the "Signature" dropdown to add the saved content to the email.

Shout out to my boss for telling me this is how they used to save boilerplate, before Quick Parts was released.

Shame on Microsoft for not including this useful tool in the current iteration. Please restore this functionality!

I was recently forced to switch to the "new" Outlook and have found the same problem. The "Templates" feature is basically Quick Parts without all the features allowing you to share them across Outlook and Word.

I found a workaround for my custom Outlook templates that is allowing me to create a new email using my templates. I opened my custom template folder in File Manager and saved them as a shortcut to my desktop. It's not as convenient as my Custom Form button in Outlook, but it's faster than going to the folder each time and it allows my attachments and images to remain in the email template.

Find your templates in c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\templates (change "username" for your specific username), then right click on the .oft file and Create Shortcut. Move the short cut to your desktop and double click to open the template. It should open the email template in the new Outlook and allow you to edit and send it.
