Hi,

Normally my Outlook links open in my default browser Chrome.

Today they started to open in Edge even though Chrome is still the default browser.

How do I get them to open in Chrome again?

I am using Windows 11 with the Outlook app.

Thanks

This is a new feature in OUTLOOK and has nothing to do with the default apps in the OS settings.

Go to Outlook Options > Advanced > Link Handling > "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in:" > Select "Default Browser".

In my version of outlook, this is actually turned off in Files>Options>Advanced>File and Browser Preferences (there is no 'link' setting that i can find)

it is really poor that Microsoft think they have the right to force their browser on users, actively chaning a preference that is already set and making it non-trivial to reverse. They are asking for top heavy regulation from goverments.

    • Outlook >> File >> Options >> Advanced >> Link Handling >> 'Open hyperlinks from Outlook in: >> 'Default Browser'
