How to stop Outlook links being opened in Edge

Hi,

Normally my Outlook links open in my default browser Chrome.

Today they started to open in Edge even though Chrome is still the default browser.

How do I get them to open in Chrome again?

I am using Windows 11 with the Outlook app.

Thanks

This is a new feature in OUTLOOK and has nothing to do with the default apps in the OS settings.

Go to Outlook Options > Advanced > Link Handling > "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in:" > Select "Default Browser".

    Dear Jaxon,

Thank you for your reply and explanation!

I apologize that you are going through all these difficulties. I have tried the steps that I previously sent you, and they worked perfectly. I'm unsure why it is not working on your end. Please try following these steps again and see if it resolves your issue:

Go to "Apps" > "Default apps" > "Microsoft Edge" and ensure that everything is set to Google Chrome. Once you have done this, restart your PC and check if everything opens in Google Chrome.

    Warm Regards,

    Arif

    Dear Jaxon,

Thank you for your reply and explanation!

Could you please uninstall Microsoft Edge and set Google Chrome as the default browser again? Afterward, check if any links you open are directed to Google Chrome. Once this is confirmed, if you still need Microsoft Edge, you can reinstall it and test the links to ensure they open correctly after the reinstallation.

    Warm Regards,

    Arif
