Outlook App on Android keeps crashing when trying to open an email

My Outlook App won't open. I'm receiving notifications that I'm getting new mail and I can read the first couple of lines (in the notification ) but if I want to open the email to read the who thing by double clicking on it the email tries to open through the app and this crashes. To resolve this, I've already updated all the apps on my phone, rebooted the phone twice (once with a full reset). I have then tried to uninstall the outlook app and reinstall it but it says you need to deactivate the app first and you can't do this. I've also checked that the rest of the MS apps are working (word / excel etc) and they seem to be opening fine

Not sure how to resolve this issue as I didn't realise how much I read my emails on my phone until this glitch happened!

    I was told to download the version that is available in the Galaxy Store and it worked. Today I see people commenting that it is an older version so, apparently all we are doing is kicking the can down the road, but for now it works for me meanwhile we keep shouting at Microsoft in the vain hope that they pay any attention to their customers.

    How do I find an older version of Outlook? I couldn't locate it in the Galaxy Store.

    This issue only seems to affect certain devices. I am having issues with the Samsung A13 but not the A20e, A21 and A12. I have logged this with Microsoft via our EA agreement,

    Affected Outlook version is 4.2243.1

    I can confirm that this works on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T510. As Sofia A. Istanbul says this works for a number of people over on the techcomunity site but does not work for her. I'm happy with this work around for now so thank you Sofia.A for your post.
