Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

I see the logic, thanks Joseph. It's still a PITA.

I like the logic, thanks Jessica, but I have many, many date stamped subfolders...

That is good news, thank you, but I've had to revert for now.

Hi. This is a real problem. I sort by commercially critical date stamped folder, 'YYYYMMDD', prefix. When is this going to be fixed? It's over a year now.

Otherwise I'll have to revert to classic Outlook.

    Regards,

    Martin
