How do I change the display name of emails on "New Outlook"?

I have multiple emails that are the same except for a slight change on the end (eg emailaddressone, emailaddresstwo) on New Outlook, I can't distinguish them. Is there a way to change the display name of email accounts and also change the order at which they show up in the list?

    It is infuriating that we cannot change the display name of emails on New Outlook. Please advise how to do it. I have looked online and there are many people annoyed with the same problems which should be simple of you to change. It was possible to do this on the old version.

    Been struggling with this unfinished product since last year.
    Finally thought it was usable, but no display name on outgoing emails is unacceptable!
    I should finally just give up on this and find a 3rd party email app for windows 11.

    Indeed, still no fix. Can't really understand Microsoft. Which is why I am moving out of Outlook altogether. Have started using Thunderbird e-mail client and works really well!

    No more long e-mail addresses as Account names. Wake-up Microsoft.

    Are you aware that you post "I am outlook user like you" ?? You are not as you dont even know that in NEW OUTLOOK there is no such thing like FILE menu !!!

    Hello,

    After much trying (and patience), I figured out a way to change the name on the NEW outlook.

    (Without any support from Microsoft, obviously)

    PS - These steps are for business accounts that are connected via Gmail.

    Steps:

    1. Log into your Gmail account.
    2. Go to the Settings logo on the right upper corner.
    3. Go to "Manage this organization".
    4. Click on "Update a user's name or email".
    5. Select the user by entering the name, even if you have only one user.
    6. Click on "Proceed".
    7. Enter the name you want.
    8. Click on "Update user".
    9. Refresh the page, as the change might not show up immediately.

    If the name doesn't appear on Outlook yet.

    1. Remove the Gmail account from Outlook and add it again.
    2. Shut down and restart your computer if it hasn't shown up.

    I had to shut everything down and start it again and send a few check emails. But it finally showed up!
