Using older versions of Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
Still not back on outlook.com for me even after logging out and in, and still annoying!

My Outlook 365 for Mac recently updated. Previously, when I opened an e-mail message, there were up and down arrows in the upper right that I could use to go to the previous or next message without returning to the Inbox and list of emails. Now, those arrows have disappeared. No similar buttons or arrows are in the ribbon that's now at the top of the screen and I don't find them as options when trying to Customize the ribbon, even though there would be room for additional buttons. (See below.) I also haven't been able to find keyboard shortcuts that would let me go to the next or previous message without returning first to the Inbox.
Thanks for any help with this!

It appears simple testing requires a team dedicated to their profession. They test the updates, but they don't test everything. In addition, although this issue has existed for more than 10 days, it hasn't gained enough public attention to cause any harm to their careers.
For that reason, they don't need to worry about any negative consequences. Eventually, this issue will be resolved; however, it would be resolved much more quickly if the issue were publicly exposed on a widespread basis.
That's just how the IT world works.
I hope this information helps.
I am experiencing the same problem with a Chrome browser. This is driving me crazy and makes using Outlook very tedious.
Hi,
Thank you for trying to help but your suggestion does not solve the problem,. Here is what I found under the shortcuts you mentioned: Open the next itemCtrl+.Open the previous itemCtrl+,
This task involves moving my hand from the mouse and using the keyboard instead of just using the mouse for the up down arrow which is quicker. I know there are always going to be changes but why play around with something that works. This problem with the disappearance of the arrows just started within the past few days. Please let me know if there is a fix. Thanks
