Outlook External Email Tag

Hello Everyone,

I have an employee that opened a ticket with my help desk about his Outlook Desktop Application. Yesterday he noticed an "External" tag that appeared on his inbox in front of the Sender. Is this a new Outlook feature or is there a way to remove this tag from view. Our organization already has a tag inside the email warning employee's of the external/internal status of the email.

Other users including myself do not see this in their Desktop Apps, we do see it in the Online Version of Outlook though.

    Cyber security is among other things about "Don't click links unless you 1) have to and 2) know it is safe", whether it is internal or external. Many people work in big companies where they do not know their coworkers. The same rules apply for internal and external e-mails. I might understand it in companies or environments where 95 % of the emails are internal. The taging should in the least be optional. Putting a tag on external email is a fake whitewashing of the internal ones.

    This seems to work but we cannot use this to sort by "from" which isn't ideal. Any ways around this?
