Right click paste not working in Outlook 365

I'm using Firefox browser. Outlook web overrides browser context menu (right click) in the email body. I get 2 different menus:

Right click only (Outlook context menu pops up)

Right click with Shift button (Firefox browser context menu pops up)

There is no clipboard permission in Firefox browser as far as I know. What we're seeing is a context menu presented by the website (outlook.live.com).

Whoever is in charge with Outlook development must be a kid to think that emoji is more important than business related functionalities. What's next? A "slap with a fish", "poke recipients" context menu?

There seems to be different degree of problems. I have the new "Emoji menu" too but I also have Copy, Cut, Paste and Paste as plain text too. In my case, my paste button would not paste until I unblocked my clipboard as I stated earlier. If users are not getting the full "Emoji menu", then it's obviously another issue which, I think, would involve registry changes. I want to try to get the old menu back with the Google search option. For me, this menu is now available ony from the Subject line of the email ...bummer. So, I think with some registry change I can make it available for the body of the email. This would help those who have menu problems.

We already know that. it was in a previous post. It's not an answer. It's a workaround like CTRL+v.

I think it copies to the clipboard but Outlook permissions prevent it from accessing or using the copied material in the Clipboard. Copy and Cut should work after you highlight something in the email. Until then, it'll be grayed out.

See my edited original post. Also, you can try to go here and see if the clipboard is blocked. Chrome browser settings>>select Privacy and Security>>Site settings>>Cookies and site data>>See all site data and permissions>>Search for Live.com>>Select LIve.com in the results>>Select Outlook.live.com. You should now see all the permissions for Outlook 365 on the web. You can choose the options you want and for my problem of failing to paste in my emails, I unblocked the Clipboard. There is no Save button. If I block the Clipboard again and try to paste in a new email, nothing happens. So, I know this setting controls that function. You might have to restart Chrome or refresh the site to get the new settings to take effect.

If this fails you can always try the old tried and true key combination to paste, Ctrl-V.

"thanks Ziembam I just clicked on the lock icon, went to the clipboard and turned it off and turned it back on but didn't work, then clicked reset permission then turned on pop up and redirects and the clipboard was back on then it started working."

The lock icon is left of the address bar in Chrome browser, it will change according to the sites you are at. When in the email site, you'll see an option to turn off the clipboard under this icon. There are links there that will take you into the Chrome settings I listed above.

Does anyone have a way to change the new limited right click context menu for Hotmail email body. Evidently, an update has severely limited this menu. It no longer has my favorite link to search Google, after highlighting text in my email, to check spelling and grammar.
