Outlook signature no longer able to be edited

I currently have several signature saved and they still show up as an option to use. However, if I go to edit any of them, one one comes up as an option to edit. The other signatures that I can use no longer are in the list. I would usually have about 20+ to choose from and edit. It is only showing my default signature

    I had the same problem, and found that you need to change the email account to "Signatures on this device" to see the rest of them.

    same issue - can only edit 1 of 6 signatures - no desktop app on my system so this resolution did not work for me - help microsoft

    The link to Code2 and disabling the Roaming Signature "feature" is the solution. Unfortunately, my company IT Dept has locked down the computers so I cannot change the "roaming signature" settings and they do not seem to want to make the changes for reasons unexplained. Fortunately I have discovered an easy fix/work-around:

    • copy your existing signature(s),
    • go into the Signatures function and create a new signature by pasting the text from the old signature text
    • save the new signature with a slightly different name so you can tell it apart from the original.
    • Check your list of signatures - you will now see both the original and the new signature with a slightly different name.
    • Delete the old signature.

    You will now have a listing of the new signatures which you can edit.

    It is not the most convenient workaround, it is a little time-consuming, because you have to follow the process to copy/paste and create a new signature for each and every signature, but at least now you have editable signatures.

    Notes: example of names: "Start Payment" and "Start Payment1." After I verify Start Payment1 works and is editable, I just delete the original Start Payment. To save time I copied the original signatures from my sent email folder. I also have lots of signatures so I copy/pasted them into a Word doc open on my 2nd screen which I then pasted into each new signature. YMMV.

    The same for me. I can see them and choose them on new emails, but they do not show up to be edited.
