What the heck happend to the EXCLUSIVE setting in Outlook - I'm getting Russian **** in my inbox!

May have a solution though not sure if it covers all instances. Have set up a rule as follows which has been working for me in the past hour.

1. Create a Rule named Red Balloon
2. Add condition - Message header includes ... cut and paste red balloon icon into the value box. (you can copy paste the red balloon icon from the email address of the sender e.g. <#####.red balloon icon here@######.com)
3. Add Action - Move to - Junk Email

Edited rule to include a mountain icon ... guess will need to amend as more special characters are coming in via email addresses.

I'm going to Gmail and my work e-mail only. THis is unbelievable. Hotmail was already on the decline and they have just rendered their service UNUSABLE

FYI This did NOT work. Why the HELL Would they take the Exclusive filter setting away? Are they being paid by the spam bots?

I did go and check those boxes but I am still being spammed. I created a dozen new rules but it doesn't help. This is ****

Yeah, that does nothing to solve the problem.  This happened to me 2 days ago as well.  It seems that the bulk seem to be coming from the same domain with different email addresses attached to it.  But not all.  I have a feeling Microsoft has been hacked as I made NO changes, and BAM! Hundreds of Phishing emails now every day to my inbox.  

After several hours of going through settings (which was useless to help the problem), I started marking the emails for deletion and hit the "sweep" option and marked to send to "trash" now and in the future.  This seemed to set a new "rule" and took most of them out in one click.  Still, very NOT INTUITIVE, and I'm not sure if this will work long-term.  Actually, I should just sit and watch my Inbox for 10 minutes and see if 15 emails show up as they have been.  Then I'll know.

Good luck to everybody.  Without the "Exclusive" setting, this is a bit of a joke.  I'll be going to a new email service tomorrow if this continues.  It's driving me crazy!

This is maddening.  What happend to the feature/function that grabbed what looked like junk?  I used to just get emails ONLY from people of my choice.  I have painstakingly cleaned my safe senders list and looked for sneaky litte buggers that hide in the mile long  list that I have to remove one by one. from a tiny little view. There's got to be a better way. I've cleaned up everything I can find and I'm still getting junk.

I think what's going on here is that this service is FREE.  If we were paying for it, we could just stop paying for it and things would start getting fixed.  I've noticed that when updates are being made to something - holes appear in other places.  My inbox should not be one of those places.  Microsoft....test, test, test before launching what you think is the best idea you ever had.  This is not the time or place to be messing around with stuff that should be secure EVEN if the service is FREE!  Why would I ever want to switch to premium and pay for this nightmare?
