ToDo, Flagged Emails and opening in Outlook Desktop

When I open MS to Do app and open whether it is an email flagged or a task from my planner in teams when I try to open it, it opens in the web-based instead of the desktop. Am I missing a connector to my desktop or something?

Just updated to the latest and finally got this feature!!!

    Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2302 Build 16.0.16130.20332) 64-bit

On the left-panel of Outlook, you can open email, calendar and now open ToDo (and even pop it out if you want it stand alone).

Once you do this, this Outlook integrated ToDo, or Outlook PoP-out ToDo is slightly different than the stand-alone ToDo app. The background and some settings are missing. But the key thing is that the "Open in Outlook" link now points to your local Desktop Outlook and not the web link.

Wow. Thanks Microsoft, this finally gives what I've been looking for, for at least the last 2 years. Awesome.

The web versions of all the MS apps are useful for quick remote working on the go, but 90% of my use (and my colleague's use) is done on the full app, for speed and functionality. MS please integrate ToDo with Outlook App - incredibly frustrating and inefficient to be redirected to the browser version. And even more infuriating because this seems like such a simple fix.

I fully agree with all these comments.

Im setting up the ToDo app as the main task managing and integrate teams, flagged emails from outlook and our CRM.

The sam issue happens when you are working on the Outlook desktop and clik to open ToDo, it sends you to the web format!!!

When is this going to be resolved? if not I will not use the ToDo app anymore...
