    Dear Jim,

Thanks for your reply and let me know above information.

If you are configuring your Shaw account in Outlook for Mac as IMAP account, then the Outlook for Mac should not download the emails to the Mac and delete emails from the Shaw account server, and I also checked in the Outlook client but didn't find a setting like “delete emails from the server after download it to Mac” for IMAP account.

Given this situation, it is recommended you may kindly login to the Shaw account via the browser to see check if there is any settings in the web side that has caused this issue.

If you need further assistance, to help you more efficiently, I'd like to suggest you may post a new question in our forum because I will be out of office for more than a week so I may not be able to provide and reply to your questions timely. As this is an new questions, my colleagues will continue to help you better in the new thread rather than in this one, your understanding of this will be highly appreciated.

Wish you have a nice day :-)

    Sincerely yours,

    Jennifer

    Jennifer

I didn't explain my self well.

Right now all my devices are using imap.

I leave my Outlook and Mac on all day whether I'm in or out

Whats happening is if I check mail with my iPhone before Outlook does an email cycle I can see my mail on my phone.

As soon as Outlook does it's email cycle it downloads that mail off the mail server.

Then the mail is no longer available on my iPhone or iPad.

I need to find a way to leave mail on the shaw cable email server.

Then all my devices can get all my emails any time

It was this way before all my Outlook drama.

    Jim

    Dear Jim,

Really glad to receive your response again, so may I confirm if your concerns is that you can see those emails that forwarded form your iCloud and university account on your iPad or iPhone, but those emails will disappear from the Mail APP on your iPad and iPhone after you read them?

Also, regarding "My Outlook on the Mac has downloaded it and it must have left the Shaw cable email server", my understanding is that you want to delete the emails from the mail server after you download all emails to your Mac, so you configured your Shaw account as a POP account in Outlook for Mac (I remember you indeed configured your Shaw account as POP account in Outlook from the screenshoot you shared before) .

Then in this configuration (configure your account via POP protocol), you may not be able to access all your emails across all devices since those emails are only saved on your Mac and have been deleted from the server.

So, if you want to access all your emails from the Shaw account in all your devices, it is recommended to configure your Shaw account via IMAP protocol.

For more detailed instructions about the difference about POP and IMAP protocols, please see this article: What are IMAP and POP?

And for POP and IMAP email settings for Outlook, please see: POP and IMAP email settings for Outlook.

    Sincerely yours,

    Jennifer

    Jennifer

This is a question unrelated to my Outlook woes.

I have an iPhone an iPad and a Mac

I use Outlook on my Mac and the mail client on my phone and iPad

My main email account is my Shaw cable account.

I also have two other accounts , one iCloud and one with my university.

Both the university and iCloud forward mail to my Shaw account so really i only use the Shaw cable email on my devices.

So I check mail on my iPad or phone and a mail is there and then woosh it's gone

My Outlook on the Mac has downloaded it and it must have left the Shaw cable email server.

If I'm on the road I miss emails.

How can I change this to have emails available to all three devices?

Then when I'm done with the email I delete it from each device

    ???

    Jim
