Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

I've been using BlueMail since OfA stopped working with IMAP/SMTP., and have no issues.

But I want to specify a port.

At my provider receiving imap can work with port 143 (no SSL) or 993 (SSL)

for sending imap can work with port 25 (no SSL) or 465 (TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS)

How can you tell that you use SSL and not a unsecure connection, if you do not specify a port?

Exactly what I've said time and again ...

It works. Just added new e-mail account. After OK just 1 second and it works.

But do not put a port at the IMAP server address !!

Just put a port at the SMTP address. serveraddress:587 or serveraddress:465

And fill in both password fields!

The latest version allows adding my ISP email account. It receives all incoming emails.

Outgoing email (new) hangs in outbox. It does eventually disappear from the outbox but doesn't show up in sent mail. The recipient does not receive it.

    Folders are synchronised.

    Thus OfA cannot be used.
