Outlook app for Android keeps crashing

My google pixel 2 phone recently updated the outlook app. Now the app crashes on startup. I tried clearing the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Ive removed my work account as well. Still will not work. I get as far as the adding account page then it crashes and ask to send a report.

    I am having similar problems with Android app on Pixel 2.  I was using version 3.0.30 when it suddenly forced me to upgrade to the new version.  After it upgraded, the app worked for about a half an hour, but very slowly.  Screen was blank for upwards of a minute then populated with email. After an hour, the app crashed upon opening repeatedly.  Uninstalled then reinstalled, but same results.  I can't revert to previous version because of the upgrade notification that pops up every 10 seconds.  That prevents me from communicating with the online support folks.

    Check for malware.  I ran Malwarebytes for Android and it found something that looked insignificant, but I re-opened Outlook and all was working fine.

    Thanks Jester_XJ12 for this additional option - but "Malwarebytes" did not report anything "strange" but yet a notification keeps on popping up that "Outlook is being terminated repeatedly" (My rough translation form the German text: ""Outlook wird wiederholt beendet")

    (BTW: "Who" closed the app - the message sounds like passive voice.)

    Isn't there a better way in Android to find out about the causes for an app termination - like a debug log or call stack? (hint: I don't have a rooted device nor do I have much experience with Android "under the hood") Checking all potential causes (including installation of new apps) is not very goal-oriented!

    Hi,

    > If you can quick open outlook, navigate to the 3 lines on the left ...

    During the few moments during which the app is visible, I cannot spot "3 lines on the left". There is only some Outlook icon in the middle of the screen and the Microsoft logo in the lower part - nothing else.

    Is there an alternative way to reset the account except through the app? For clearing the cache I found a way via "Settings" -> "Apps and Notification" -> "Outlook" -> "Memory"
