My email was working fine a day ago. I didn't make any changes or anything. I just signed in as usual, checked my emails, sign out. Then tonight when I wanted to log in I got this error. Oh yeah, and after this error I refreshed the page multiple times. Still getting this.

Try disabling AdBlock or any similar extension. It worked for me.

I used chrome to login. It also have this problem. However, when I use Internet explorer, it works fine.

    Maybe is chrome's problem??

The day I have to uninstall an adblocker to use an email platform is the day I switch email platforms.

Furthermore, there is absolutely no proof that adblockers are causing this problem. Just to be 100% sure, I did attempt a login with uBlock disabled. No change.

The problem is definitely MS side as all people with all tech backgrounds are experiencing the problem. Maybe a server is in restore mode? Or it could be any other multitude of things. I don't know...I don't work on outlook servers or at MS.

Regardless, it should be noted that adblockers are not the problem.

Edit: I turned uBlock back on and waited until morning. Magically it was resolved!

As I said, the problem was server side, not client side. If disabling your adblocker fixed your problem, you fixed a different problem or just had coincidental timing with the server being fixed. Or, possibly, hotmail messed something up that temporarily flag it by ad blockers. Either way, that scenario was never intended and was resolved shortly after it happened.

Another way to work around this problem is to "white list" the live.com domain in your ad blocker. At least that worked for me using AdBlock Plus with Chrome.

    Windows 8.1

Using Firefox, uBlock Origin, and have to disable it to get Outlook to work.

But only on one of my computers, the other two work fine.

    Update at 0727L,

1rst computer still requires that I turn of uBlock Origin to work.

2nd computer, uBlock Origin, works just fine.

3rd computer, AdBlock Plus, works just fine.

    All three computers have:

    Ghostery

    HTTPS Everywhere

    WorldIP

Just disabled uBlock Origin, and re-enabled Adblock Plus on computer 1 Outlook worked fine.

Disabled Adblock Plus and re-enabled uBlock Origin on computer 1, Outlook worked fine this time.

I'm gonna restart Firefox and see what happens.

    Very strange.

    Update 0747L

    On computer 1:

Closed Firefox, CCleaner cleans up my web browser automatically, restarted Firefox, uBlock Origin enabled,

    logged into Outlook just fine.

So maybe MS got the issued fingered out.

    We'll see.
