How to switch back to old "Hotmail" interface layout? (Aug 2016)

           

Could not agree more, the current forced format is insufficiently tested, buggy as heck and optimized for various platforms.

The constant response of "make sure you clear your browser cache and update to a new version" a lazy script and proves the point.

Maybe sir your just using an outdated browser. All browsers have issue even those with Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Edge. Is a standard troubleshoot just like try cleaning the engines of your car and try to start it again.

So lets assume it's less about people unable to adapt to changes, and significant performance and feature loss..

How are you overcoming the serious loss of performance on this interface and the fact it now under performs compared to Gmail?

I've got it "barely tolerable" by blocking most of the forced scripting (Skype especially) but it's still really buggy.

What's exactly your issue with the new Outlook interface, I can do anything I want on my Hotmail account using @outlook.com page same with my gmail account. You might just need a Outlook tech specialist to help you out navigate and be familiar again with those old features you need as well into the new ones added.

Innovation was also when Microsoft decided to remove the "start" button in Windows and then he realized it was a piece of **** and then ran for cover immediately. The old hotmail interface was simple intuitive fast and worked perfectly. Nobody asked you to innovate and think nobody has ever complained about the service. I used it now for more than 20 years but now, unfortunately, just as you have ruined prefer to use gmail.

"Sorry about those old timers having a hard time with the new format, nothing can be done now but accept the changes and innovation, I'm been using Hotmail too since the 90s and found the new format better and no problems with the learning curves you just need to give it time i guess. I'm well adaptable to changes in life and rapid changes in technology will always happen. Even with big tech companies like Gmail or Apple."

I have managed to partially change this back by going into Options when in Hotmail and then fiddling about in their. Sorry can't remember what I did now but managed to get it back to how it looked before - shame Microsoft can't advise on this!  However it still does not have my emails divided into page numbers with a total at the bottom so I can see how many I have and also when looking at A-Z order, cannot just go to a letter to search.  I have also lost a very important folder - anybody got any info on this please?
