Outlook.com Font keeps changing

I am using Outlook.com on Windows 7 (SP1) and IE10 (with latest update.)

Language is set to English UK.

The font keeps changing when I send an email.

No matter what font and size I use this problem occurs.

I type an email and it looks fine and then I send it.

However, when I see it in the sent folder, the font on some lines or paragraphs has changed - normally to a smaller size.

If I paste anything from a Word Document, the problem is even worse.

I have sent myself emails from Outlook.com using another account and email client to receive them and the emails look terrible and very unprofessional.

I have tried every solution suggested on the internet clear IE temporary files etc. uninstall Silverlight - but to no avail.

I have used Google Chrome browser - same problem.

Until I can resolve this, I am using eM Client software to send and received my outlook.com emails.

Is anyone aware of this problem please and any potential solutions.

Thank you.

After having loads of aggravation with fonts changing since the inception of Outlook.com I am pleased to report that it has been finally solved.

The reason is - my webmail - "Outlook.com" has been automatically upgraded to "Outlook Mail".

I've just logged into my outlook.com account for the first time in months because of this (i.e, the changing fonts) and other problems, as well as online support's routine of abandoning every issue after a brief suggestion of 'helpfulness' but never any actual solution (that at least has been my experience, consistently).

Are you reporting that *all* users are being, or have been, upgraded to regular Outlook Mail, even those on a Mac?

That would be interesting.  Who knows?  Maybe I'll even come back here.

I am on a mac (& , re Grandad808's observation, can see 'Outlook Email' at the top left of my webmail page) and have had no recent known reoccurrences of the random font size situation and am back to using my old hotmail address as as I otherwise like the MS webmail interface, so maybe Grandad is right and the issue has at last been attended to.

    You are correct.

If I access using my Windows laptop it says Outlook Email

If I access using an app on iPad it says Outlook Mail

If I access using the android phone app there is no title at all !!!

It appears that nothing Microsoft does now is straightforward

Not sure if this helps but when using Windows laptop and Desktop PC (which is where the problems with fonts occurred) - I am now using the Edge browser on Windows 10 to access webmail

    I never

had any problems using the mail app on Windows 10 but the default font is the very tiny calibri 11 and there is no way to change the default font

Perhaps I should buy a Mac and put an end to Microsoft's lack of cohesion and consistency !!!!!!

    Good luck

There are several changes and it is a vast improvement in both appearance and functionality. I hope it remains that way.

You will know immediately when it is upgraded - The "Outlook.com" title at the top left of the webmail window will change to read "Outlook Mail"

Mine reads 'Outlook Email'; does that mean it has been upgraded?
