Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

    Same problem in our office when several of us updated today. Version 16.9 is killing the images in terms of blurriness. We tried the previous version and all is good and high rez. This needs to get fixed ASAP.

    Hi Dpk,

    It is not feasible to control the compression ratio for the resulting PDF in PowerPoint for Mac. A workaround is to attach the image after you converted the presentation to the PDF directly.

    Can you provide us with a screenshot of the PDF image side by side between both versions?

    Please also let us know what image type and resolution you are using.

    Hi All!  

    I just upgraded to 16.9 and noticed that when I export my document to PDF, small images are now rendered very blurry.  It seems that the compression is set too high, but there is no way to control it.  It doesn't matter if I "export", "save as" or use the Apple print dialog "Save as PDF".  Any ideas on how to control the compression ratio?  Or otherwise how to fix this.  I couldn't find any setting in PowerPoint.  I even tried the "File/Compress Pictures..." dialog.  But nothing seems to work.  Thanks in advance!
