Powerpoint 16.15 (180530) Save as PDF - images are blurry

Even when PDF export quality is set to high - the images on the PPT are blurry when using PDF export.  The images are fine in the PPT itself.

Choose Help>Check for Updates and in that dialog, check Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases. Then choose Office Insider Slow for fairly well-tested code or Office Insider Fast for advanced features with more bugs. Don't choose the latter on a computer you use to get work done.

This issue has been fixed in Insider Slow channel since build 16.15 (180701) and in Insider Fast channel since build 16.16 (180702), and it should reach the rest of our users soon. Please update your builds and let us know if the problem is not fully resolved.

    Yes I posted because I have yet to find a solution.  I want to know if anyone else has found one.  I posted a new thread but no one has responded.  I have poor resolution on printing Powerpoint presentations AND PDF.  This is urgent for many people.  Please stop giving us the run around.  I have wasted 4 hours on the phone and with various inept employees working for technical support.

    Hi Larry,

    Thanks, I've just checked with Neha and I did see a difference on your particular file.

    However, we tried to convert a presentation to PDF and did not see a difference. Additionally, as you mention that it's improved, we suggest copying all pre-16.9 presentations to a new file if you would like to export it as a PDF.

    We also suggest providing feedback by clicking on the Smiley face on your PowerPoint app to let the related team know.

    Meanwhile, have you tried using some sample images that is not confidential and let us know the results? This will hopefully make it easier for you to share with us.

    We tried a few different images but can't see the difference, probably because it's already subtle enough, given that it's created on 16.9.

    We noticed that you posted in a few different threads regarding the issue, and based on your description, it seems like the issue is with image resolution inside PowerPoint itself and when printing.

    If this it the case, we suggest posting a new thread so that we can focus on the issue individually. If you are having issues with images when converting to PDF, you're welcome to provide a screenshot and refer to the suggestions on this thread in order to help us narrow down the issue.

    It's random in that I can't find an associated between the image file type (e.g., jpg or png) and also trying to find a consistency. By that I mean that some images, created at the same time and same screen captures off mobile device, are different and randomized and blurred in reproduction in the PDF.

    PDF is Continuous Build 2019.009.20050

    Architecture: x86_64

    Build: 18.9.20050.254034

    AGM: 4.30.72

    CoolType: 5.14.5

    JP2K: 1.2.2.39492

    I did copy all the slides into a new PPT. The same images are blurred. But, surprisingly, 'not as much.' There is a very subtle, subtle difference, but the copy and paste version is minutely sharper.

    I've sent Neha images separately. Regrettably, it is impossible to remove confidential information in a way that I"m comfortable with. Hopefully DPK can provide his.
