Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
Same here, Microsoft has ruined this headset with one issue after another. It used to be my favorite headset and worked great, not anymore!!!

accessory center.desktop bridge.device service.exe freezing MS teams application.
When I use the Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset 8JR-00001 with MS Teams call it freezes the MS teams application. I unplug the USB receiver that it comes with then re-plug it into the computer then it works. I have tried the following as a work around:
When I got to the Microsoft accessory center I reset the headset to factory default and it resolves some of issues that were reported.
The other fix I have found is to connect the headset via Bluetooth
please let me know if anyone else has had this issue.
I am starting to look at this application : accessory center.desktop bridge.device service.exe
to see if this has something to do with this.
What has not worked is : removing MS teams and clearing out all folders that have files after the uninstall of the MS teams APP.
I opened a new box and got a new headset and that still didnt work.
*******************************************************************************UPDATE Aug 2023*******************************************************
For my environment the issue has now gone away with Microsoft sending the update to our tenant. For each user that was using the work around (Bluetooth or a different brand of headset) the dongle is now working once again. If your org still is having issue please open a formal ticket using with the Admin for of the Microsoft Teams. Then I would refer them to this thread for support.
thanks for helping guys

Hello from Brazil...
I didn't open any ticket and here the update to firmware 1.2 was automatic. I just open today Microsoft Accessory Center app and I saw it was updated.
I would share the firmware here but I have no idea how to get this file... maybe they're releasing the new firmware by phases

You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.24078 (64-bit). It was last updated on 18/09/2023.
This is firmware issue with the USB Dongle. I opened a ticket with Microsoft and received a firmware that addressed this issue. It is suppose to be getting released via Windows Update, but I am not sure of the timeframe. The USB Link Firmware 1.20 is what you are after.
I have tested this version and can confirm it fixes the issue. If you have support with Microsoft, open a ticket with them and ask them to provide the USB Link 1.20 firmware.
I am having the same issue. Seems to have started about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I will be ok for maybe a couple meetings and then the next meeting Teams will freeze and respond very slowly trying to connect into the meeting. Once in the meeting I'll have no audio and Teams will still be frozen. Pulling out the USB receiver restores access to Teams and of course switches audio to the laptop.
Most of the time plugging back in the USB receiver will switch back audio to the headset with no issues. Other times Teams will freeze up again.
Thought the issue was caused by me as it started occurring after updating to the latest Dell drivers and firmware. Tried swapping out some hardware and having the laptop re-imaged and also updating the headset firmware to the latest release to no avail. But with these many people having the issue seems to be something with Teams or a recent Windows patch. Though I just upgraded to Windows 11 from Win10 and the issue is still occurring.
Hopefully they can track down the issue and get it fixed.
OK bluetooth is not that good of a solution, They seem to go to "sleep" when in bluetooth mode and they don't wake up fast enough and reconnect fast enough to answer a lot of incoming calls.
