Double beep when muted on Teams Shokz Headset

Hello

I see a lot of threads and people moaning about Double beep when muted on Teams when using a Shokz headset which is the problem I have. (Headset previously called AfterShokz)

I use a work computer so do not have admin rights, and muting shoks headset by pressing the +/- volume keys does not stop the beeping noise.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Nope, same happened to me on Macbook Pro so definitely not only Windows issue. I warrantied headset and the problem was fixed.

    This is absolutely a windows only issue and is new. I have been using my headset for around 18 months and it only showed up in the last month or so with an update. It also is not an issue when joining a meeting on an iOS device with the same headset.

    Dears, I was annoyed by this double-beep issue for weeks and luckily I found your discussion and you just solved it! A big thanks to SirGym!

    I have been fighting the beeps for awhile and today this worked for me on a windows box.

    Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > [Your device] > Properties > Services > UNTICK Handsfree Telephony > turn headphones off and back on > re-connect device.

    Then my aftershokz headset is back to normal.

    I confirm this works, but like many other posts, it works because it disables the mic functionality of the device.

    Unfortunately, I want to be able to use the mic functionality of my device because its superior compared to my laptop's.

    Please fix this...
