How do I stop teams from turning my headset volume up to 100% in the "App volume and device preferences" before each call?

The title says it all. The only way to prevent my ear drums from bursting is:

  1. Join a call before anyone else
  2. open Settings
  3. search for "Sound mixer options" (which takes you to the "App volume and device preferences" screen)
  4. turn the teams volume down for my headset

This happens 100% of the time and it's absolutely ridiculous.

    What the **** Microsoft??

Almost 2 years and this is still happening!

Just found this thread after getting fed up with this.

I will try the workaround setting change, but we need a REAL SOLUTION still.

We need a reply from you, Microsoft, and a ticket created to address this.

I hope you get a lawsuit from people with medical bills for their hearing loss.

    Hi Martha,

I was just wondering..if Microsoft knows about the issue since forever, why its Support every time that someone asks about it, they reply like they have been away from planet Earth a few centuries? As far as I can read there is no fix, or better, willing to look into it, not from the Support itself, but most importantly from Microsoft developers. I think I can talk for many on here.

It's been almost a year and this bug hasn't been fixed yet. It's ridiculous.

This only happens in the new Version of Teams (23272.2707.2453.769) If I go back to the old version of Teams (1.6.00.26474) this problem goes away.

How has this not been fixed? What do these devs even do? This is absolutely basic functionality. Unacceptable
