I'm getting extremely jittery video despite a good connection. It looks like every few frames, a single frame from a second ago is displayed, causing both my video and other participants videos to just jitter in a really distracting way. It can't be my connection because I have a good ping & good connection, and its happening to my video as well.

I'm having the same issue and have put up with it for a month. I'm starting to get headaches from this video problem.
1.6.00.364 has just been released and the problem still persists for me.
I have to reinstall 1.5.00.28567 every single day and every single day it updates it back despite having auto updates disabled.
I have had to get rid of the app and use in Chrome. I've just pinned the link to bookmarks and it seems to have solved the issue - no hope with app yet it seems!

Choppy video (mine & theirs)... simply unusable and after 5 minutes nausea sets in. Have had to go to a old windows laptop until solved :-(

I used a download from this link: https://microsoft-teams-for-mac.en.uptodown.com/mac/versions and had one glorious jitter-free video call on 1.5.00.28567 (apparently two version back) before it auto-upgraded. I believe it is safe because it appeared properly signed (from Mac's perspective) and did not give an error or require a workaround when installing.
Unfortunately, I have found no way of pinning a specific version (without disconnecting internet? ha!), so you only get several hours before an auto upgrade happens. Boo on Microsoft for not giving its customers a way to prevent auto upgrade.
