Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

I'm happy to confirm that the fix for the left & right arrow keys issue is on track to reach public availability by end of June.

If you still reproduce the issue in July, please fully close and re-sign into Teams to help force a client refresh. We will continue to monitor this post and other feedback sources to measure the success of this fix which has already shown to be effective in our development rings.

We understand this has been a pain point for a long time and appreciate the community coming together to alert us to it as well as collaborate on possible root causes until we found the right one.

The fix of this issue is already rolling internally in Microsoft dogfood and early adopt program users for broad validation and will reach global users by the end of June with the next release of Teams clients.

How is this still not fixed?

It's been over a year since I started having this problem. Devs even got everything spoon-fed by now.

I could make a list with bugs that I encountered in Teams that have still not been fixed after a year+ later (Teams Status being displayed wrong as an example). New stuff keeps being added, new bugs keep appearing but apparently no one bothers himself to fix existing problems.

I don't know if this will help others, but I have found I can move my cursor left and right after selecting the pop out chat option in the top right. I know it's not ideal, but it's something. There is also the control key with arrows that works and shift with arrows that I've seen others mention that also works. MICROSOFT PLEASE FIX THIS!

Clicking the 3 dots and then ESC is enough to resolve the problem.
I think this is very good input to whoever will investigate this bug. Thanks.
