ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work? (Up and Down arrows work normally.)
1. Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop
2. What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external
3. Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before
4. Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

Unfortunately it reminds me of this joke "If cars were like computers" https://www-users.cs.york.ac.uk/susan/joke/crash.htm#:~:text=Occasionally%20your%20car%20would%20die%20on%20the%20freeway%20for%20no%20reason.%20You%20would%20have%20to%20pull%20over%20to%20the%20side%20of%20the%20road%2C%20close%20all%20of%20the%20windows%2C%20shut%20off%20the%20car%2C%20restart%20it%2C%20and%20reopen%20the%20windows%20before%20you%20could%20continue.%20For%20some%20reason%2C%20you%20would%20simply%20accept%20this.
Nice find mate!
Disable spell check ;)
Same situation, I also noticed that ctrl-arrow works to skip words - clearly a substantial MS Teams bug that needs to be fixed.
On the nostalgia side, I feel like many MS apps are back at the 1990s bug level ... especially when the keyboard backs up a bunch of characters while the app momentarily freezes and then all the typed characters appear, very retro.
BTW, I can run a ton of other software (not concurrently with Teams), including CAD apps, and they do not have this issue.
