Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop 

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external 

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

    It would be very helpful if anyone could capture the exact steps that lead to this problem. Editing a message, switching between edits and new message box, function lock and print screen keys don’t seem to reliably break the left and right arrow keys.

    If we knew exactly how to break this, then finding a way to fix it would be a lot easier.

    Same issue here. Reoccurring for me every day. Microsoft can you please prioritise and fix these reported bugs?

    I was NOT able to freeze (or lockout) arrow-key functions in the Teams Chat textbox by pressing the PrtSc key singly or in series. This did not have an effect in either the Win10 desktop Teams app, nor in the Chrome browser hosted Teams page.

    So, here, PrtSc (which I rarely if ever touch anyway) does NOT affect the arrow key behavior.

    But then again- what does? I don't know a great way to force the behavior to happen. Hell- maybe Microsoft even snuck in an unacknowledged fix. Wouldn't THAT be something?

    The thing that sometimes triggers this problem (for me) is when i used the shortcut ^ (up arrow ) to initiate editing the last comment i entered. after editing, the cursor sometimes lock up and not move left and right

    Thanks - I actually found when you right click on Teams icon on the bottom bar and select "X Quit" to go out, when I came back into Microsoft Teams again, it worked from then on. Thanks
