Bluetooth device keeps getting disconnected during Teams meetings

Hi,

I use the wireless JBL Endurance Sprint Headphones to connect to meetings on my Teams app on my work laptop.

This was working fine until a few days ago. But, from the past few days my headphones gets disconnected every few seconds.

This is terribly agonizing - I can't hear the audio and get tuned out from  the conversation. I need to turn on my headphones again every time it gets disconnected. I end up losing parts of the conversation and it gets extremely awkward frequently requesting the other person to repeat what they said.

I initially thought it might be my headphones, but it works really well with the same laptop on other applications. Works fine on other devices too.

I tried updating driver software for my Bluetooth device. Looks like it's up-to-date.

I have no idea how to fix this.

Similar questions had answers to uncheck the "Disable bluetooth device for power savings" under Power Management Tab ( Device Manager -> Bluetooth-> Adapter-> Properties). I don't see this tab anymore

Please help fix this ASAP.

    Hi,

I have exactly the same issue and i am using a Bluetooth Speaker Grundig SOLO that also has Telephone Handsfree feature to be used with a mobile phone, it seems.

So, the issue is not related to your JBL headphones. Its a wide problem for many device types.

In my case, bluetooth Grundig column, it switches off exactly every 15 minutes if i am on Zoom or Teams. Skype haven't tested yet.

All drivers are up to date. All latetes Windows updates are installed

Grundig with Music (YouTube Music,. e.g. then no disconnects.

One thing i noticed is that after pairing, the description that appears on the devices is different.

Maybe the below info helps the "Geeks" around here to have a clue for the problem.

Generally, this happens due to sound and Bluetooth settings, outdated teams or driver, microphone permissions.

A quick workaround, is to disable the Bluetooth LE Enumerator from device manager.

Then again from the settings click on Add Bluetooth or other device to pair the handset.

Launch teams, may this helps you.
