Bluetooth device keeps getting disconnected during Teams meetings

Hi,

I use the wireless JBL Endurance Sprint Headphones to connect to meetings on my Teams app on my work laptop.

This was working fine until a few days ago. But, from the past few days my headphones gets disconnected every few seconds.

This is terribly agonizing - I can't hear the audio and get tuned out from  the conversation. I need to turn on my headphones again every time it gets disconnected. I end up losing parts of the conversation and it gets extremely awkward frequently requesting the other person to repeat what they said.

I initially thought it might be my headphones, but it works really well with the same laptop on other applications. Works fine on other devices too.

I tried updating driver software for my Bluetooth device. Looks like it's up-to-date.

I have no idea how to fix this.

Similar questions had answers to uncheck the "Disable bluetooth device for power savings" under Power Management Tab ( Device Manager -> Bluetooth-> Adapter-> Properties). I don't see this tab anymore

Please help fix this ASAP.

Same Issue with JBL Endurance Dive. Can anyone suggest any answer pls?

The only work around I have found, with my JBL Everest 700s, is to have the headphones connected still to my phone, and play/pause Spotify on the device to keep it engaged.

Or run YouTube on my PC, and do the same thing, every 10 mins flick over and hit play/pause.

This way the headphones never turn off.

Not ideal, but a workable solution.

Same issue here on an HP ZBook 17 G4. Whenever I'm in a Teams call, my Bluetooth devices drop. Sometimes it's my Bose 700 headset. Other times it's my Logitech MX keyboard and/or mouse. Or all three could **** out.

Toggling Bluetooth off then back on again sometimes fixes the issue. Other times, I have to restart my PC for them to work temporarily in a Teams call. One thing is certain though, all of the Bluetooth devices magically work again as soon as I exit the Teams meeting.

I have solved this issue - well for me at least! It seemed to be only happening (ie dropping from Teams only after 2-3 minutes) when I was not plugged in to mains power. So I thought it must be a power setting

I had it consistently UNTIL I changed the WiFi power settings in Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Power Options>Edit Plan Settings>Change Advanced Settings>Wireless Adaptor Settings>Power Saving Mode and putting both settings to Maximum performance.

This is for a Dell 5500 laptop and TaoTronic mono Bluetooth headset.

    Hope it works for others!

    *** UPDATE ***

Scrap that. After a couple of successful calls (20 mins each), the Bluetooth headset displayed exactly the same problem again and dropped from Teams after 2 mins and I had to change device setting back to PC Speakers/Mic.
