Microsoft Teams Status - Desktop and Mobile

I have recently received Microsoft Teams access as part of my Office pack.

I noticed that with the mobile app logged in, the status is constantly showing "Available" even when i am not active.

This means anyone looking for me would believe that i am available.

Is there no way to set it to show as away or at least a separate status that states "mobile" when we are not active on the desktop App of teams?

It is highly annoying to have to amend the status manually.

    This is exactly what we are experiencing too.

    Microsoft claims that this is "machine-specific" (that's the terminology they are using to deflect blame onto us) and also has ceased working on our support ticket.

    They simply refuse to take responsibility for it.

    Oh my god I'm having this EXACT same issue. It's TERRIBLE.

    My team thinks I'm always away when I'm sitting there working unless I happen to ACTUALLY be away and check Teams from my phone.

    Microsoft support has been absolutely USELESS for this problem. They act like it doesn't exist. They act like it's MY fault.

    I've tried all the sign-out/sign-in tricks and such, nothing works. I've been stuck with this issue since last November.

    @MICROSOFT, PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY.

    Did you try signing out of Teams on your computer and then signing back in? It sounds like you had the same issue as me. I had to sign out on my computer not my phone. See my post from July 16, 2021.

    I seem to have found a solution! I have just set my laptop status to offline and this is reflected in the phone app also. Happy with that

    What about the new offline status? if I had set it to offline in both the app and on Windows will it stay offline or do I have to reset that every day too? Thanks
