MS Teams crashes when EOS Webcam Utility is used for Video

Hi,

I am using Microsoft Teams for my school. I am using EOS Webcam Utility (NOT Beta) with my Canon EOS 80D. It was working perfectly with video calls for school up until about two weeks ago. Now, whenever I turn on my camera in a video call (and the video setting is EOS Webcam), my Teams crashes and I get an error saying, "There was a glitch. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please sign in again."

In my school, there is an expectation that my camera is on, and my computer's webcam is unusable, so I really need this fixed, and quickly.

Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

Kane

Same here ! I delete all files from the mentioned folders (some did not exist), but my EOS Webcam (Canon EOS RP) is making Teams crash since 11AM.

It worked for the past 4-5 months...  and it still works with Zoom and MS Camera.

Note : I switch my profile photo AND switch an office app (Powerpoint) from my Microsoft personal to my Microsoft corporate account in the last 24h... could this be related ?

Same issue here. Teams on PC crashes when I switch to my Canon T3i. Was working perfect before. Web works, but need a proper fix from Teams.

That's where I downloaded the beta version today I believe, Softpedia. Hopefully Microsoft and/or Canon will correct this issue.

I've been using the beta since it came out and it's been pretty flawless with everything I've used - several Web-based teleconference sites (Google Meet, Roll20, Spelltable), Teams, Zoom, WebEx, OBS, XSplit.... tons of stuff!! All except Discord, which is not a big deal to just use the laptop's camera with. So I'm fine with the beta for now - but still I'd like to be on the latest and greatest.

OK - before I found my own copy I downloaded it from softpedia - I have checked the properties of both files and they seem to be identical - of course I cannot take any responsibility :-)

I must of deleted it. I had a ton of very large (iso) files I cleaned-up recently and probably deleted it then.

Edit: I'll keep a copy of 0.9 and 1.1 in a safe place, maybe i'll upgrade/downgrade as needed for each video app - that sounds fun.
