When using my Aftershokz OpenComm during a call, I hear a loud beeping noise when I mute myself during the call. This beeping only goes away when I unmute. I've contacted Aftershokz, and they've assured me this is due to a recent MS Teams update causing connectivity issues.
I've also read other non-Microsoft forums and realize this is apparently an issue since 2021 with MS Teams and multiple brands of headphones/headsets. However, it only recently started for me today, April 18, 2022.
Is Microsoft doing anything to solve this issue? Is there a solution to this?
It seems to be making many users upset and frustrated. I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't addressed this yet.

I agree with you. Probably MS only look after their "MS Team Supported" devices. Since they now have a 'turn the red light' when the user is on the call. MS needs to send a signal to make it happen right? :)
lol, remute. I love it. It is a pain, but I just keep the settings window open now. Go to that to unmute and remute.
Yes, but every time you unmute and remute (is that a word?) you have to perform this action again....
lol, the beeps come from the device. Not from MS Teams. The voice saying mute is the Shokz voice. The beeps are the sounds from the headset. You said a lot based on inaccurate info.
The sounds are from the manufacturer's device. It is not correct for MS to "fix" or change this. It is whoever makes the headset.
