Been using Teams since the start of lockdown with a headset. As of today I am getting a double-beep at about five second intervals (like a hold beep) in the headset when I am muted. This has not happened before and been using same headset for months.
Also note that when I mute / unmute in Teams, the headset now announces "mute on" and "mute off" to me.
This feels like a Teams update has created this "feature" - please turn it off!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It Works! I can't believe it! The Setting is in Teams.
The only thing that worked in my office was switching people with this problem to the web version of Teams. If it wasn't for the add-on fob we got from the headset company, we'd still be doing that.
I have to say I've also recently reinstalled my Windows 10 so could be that another parameter got updated or maybe the faulty patch has not been installed yet. I keep you in touch.
Looks like the issue is fixed !! On last update of teams I don't have the issue anymore. Here is my version:

I am experiencing this every time I use my Sennheiser HD450BT, nothing to do with being on mute it just keeps beeping at me whilst I am trying to hold conversations.
Extremely frustrating.
