Aftershokz headset alerting me that my Teams call is muted

In short, no matter how I try to mute my mic, the headset tells me mute is on and double-beeps every few seconds. It happens if I mute the call, mute in call settings, or even if I simply mute in my laptop's sound settings.

Teams does NOT alert me that I'm muted if I use a different headset or no headset -- only using the Aftershokz headset. This is an Aftershokz problem, not a Teams problem, but Aftershokz tech support has been unhelpful. I'm hoping someone here has a workaround.

This problem cropped up last fall, went away, and now is back.

    That is a one time solution. If you want to unmute on Teams and then mute again you have to go through that process all over everytime you mute and unmute. Very inconvenient. Also, mine stopped working for muting the mic on the Shokz, not sure what happened there.

    Something that I did find, if you go into Teams, devices, and change what device you use to be something other than the Shokz mic, it will stay that way and now I just use the mic on my pc.

    Microsoft, come up with the fix, it can't be hard, stop allowing Teams to change the hardware mute.

    when in MS teams call and you wnat to go in mute-->you have to go to the MS teams Device settings and change the same to the default system microphone

    Example my laptop has realtek microphone when you are going into mute change the microphone from OpenMove to the default Laptop one and mute your self.

    When you want to talk then just unmute and talk via system microphone or chage the microphone to OpenMove.

    Hi

    I have this issue too, i just bought a Shokz opencomm headset.

    I only have this issue when using MS Teams app, i don*t have it when i*m using Teams webb

    When searching the webb on this issue it*s obviessly that this is a problem with other headsets as well so
    it*s a Teams issue and Microsoft really have to fix it.

    As for now i*m using Teams webb

    It works before and now it doesn't work.

    Zoom or Skype do no cause any problems.

    So it is teams only !

    Back to your issue, please be kindly to navigate to your Teams Web App to see if there's a same issue or not.

    Also, please be kindly to update your desktop client into the latest version and share it with us that it will help us to test it.
