Hi everyone.
I have an issue with our Logitech Meetup conference camera. If i look at the image via the Windows 10 camera app, the image quality is very good (1080p) .
But when working in Microsoft Teams, or Skype for consumer, the image is blurry, with jagged edges that indicate that the resolution is very low. If, for comparison i try to reproduce the same image quality in the Windows 10 camera app (there i can choose the resolution manually, i have to reduce the quality to 360p).
Our bandwidth is 300mbps down/30mpbps up so that should not be the problem.
I first thought that it had to do with the performance of our conference PC.
But the strange thing is that in Google Hangout or Zoom, i don't have this problem, there the image quality is just fine/as expected.
Also when i connect my Surface Book to the Logitech Meetup, i have the same bad quality in Teams, but when i switch to the internal camera of the Surface Book, image quality is perfect...
In skype for consumer I have the same issue as in Teams, so i think that it has to do with the way Microsoft addresses the camera.
Firmware of the Meetup is on the latest version (i installed it to improve the automatic centering on the audience aka RightSight) but I am not sure if i have used the Meetup camera in Teams with the old firmware) , all latest windows and teams updates are installed.
Any clues ? Thanks for your insights.

The problem is that the resolution is far from 720p in Teams.
I would be very happy with that. I estimate it more like 360x240 pixels.

Yes I had similar issues with Teams and the Logitech Meetup camera that I purchased recently. I raised it with Logitech but it turns out Microsoft in March 2020 reduced the resolution in Teams (and Skype for Business) to 720p to deal with the extra load COVID has put on the internet bandwidth. I have struggled to find anywhere official from Microsoft that mentions them doing it, but the 3rd paragraph in this article mentions it - https://redmondmag.com/articles/2020/03/24/microsoft-365-windows-features-reduced.aspx
"There wasn't a Microsoft public announcement about the latest feature changes, but this new notice apparently was delivered through the Microsoft Message Center, which gets seen by administrators managing Microsoft 365 services. The new measures come on top of Teams feature adjustments made a week earlier with regard to the frequency of presence checks and checks for typing during collaborations, plus a reduction in video resolution in the Teams service."
There are also other mentions of it on the internet.
The timing of this change (mid-March 2020) makes sense to me as I have another Logitech camera that was working fine but I noticed the other day it is blurry now too. I just didn't know what caused it.
Then I was wondering why Teams looks OK with the small single-person cameras (like the c920s), but that is only when the person is close to the screen. When they are further away they are blurry too.
I have just told my users that it is a Microsoft change to the Teams application that caused it, and gave them the workaround to open meetings in the browser version of Teams, which seems to still be OK.

After months of back and forward with logitech support and microsoft (for a while) upgrading downgrading firmware, new pc, different cables. we got nowhere. We even hired a second meetup hoping ours was just faulty. Nope. the same issue persists.
Logitechs response was there is no issue and we will not exchange or refund your unit. (in australia).
Fantastic support there......not.
We cannot use the Meetup camera for the purpose of a teams meetup camera as it runs at such a low resolution.
This things deserves 0 stars and how it even got teams certification is beyond me.
We relied on the microsoft certification when choosing this device to make sure it would work well enough.
Avoid this camera like COVID
Same problem here (we have 10 Meetup cameras in classrooms with Teams). Very poor quality in Teams desktop app, same in web app if run on Explorer. Web app in Edge is better.
