My Bluetooth earphones have been working well all the time until I upgraded my laptop to Windows 11. The laptop shows my earphones are connected, but neither sound nor microphone works. The browser and Zoom crash every time I try to use Bluetooth earphones to listen to music or join meetings.
I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting Bluetooth earphones, turning on/off Bluetooth, resetting my earphones, restarting my laptop, and none of these resolves the issues of no sound/mic and crashing. I even bought a new pair of Bluetooth earphones, and it did not work either.
I think this is a bug in Windows 11. Am I the only one facing this issue? What exactly is going on with Windows 11 Bluetooth? And what else can I do now?

Hopefully it will all get sorted at some point. I'm actually on Intel platform using the latest 22.220.1 driver (allegedly validated for Windows 11). Still not working, and never has since moving from Window 10 - so not sure that's quite the silver bullet you're hoping for.

This just shows how bad the situation has become, over year old bug that has never been resolved now has further potential causes instead of solutions. It's an absolute dealbreaker to not be able to take meetings with headsets the users already own (and which previously worked without issue!).
Come on Microsoft, this is an absolute joke!
The newer reports in this thread are most likely due to the changed handling of Bluetooth headset introduced with Windows 11 Update 22H2. Windows now automatically decides when to use the handsfree and when the music profile, and especially in headset/handsfree cases this is not working at all. Microphone works, but no audio output (or the other way round)
Rolling back the update (Settings -> System -> Recovery -> Go back) is the only workaround I have right now.
