Window 11 taskbar auto-hide turning off

I switched to Windows 11 a few weeks ago, and ever since then, the taskbar auto-hide quits working when the computer comes out of Sleep mode. I have to be away from the computer for a while before it will happen, and I believe it has something to do with me running dual monitors. When I wake my computer, my secondary monitor appears to come up faster than my primary by just a fraction. Once my primary is on, there is a message saying something about the taskbar already being hidden (I think) and the taskbar on my primary monitor has the taskbar up. When I go to Taskbar Behaviors, 'Automatically hide the taskbar' is no longer checked. I'll select it again, and it will work fine until the system goes back into Sleep mode for a while, again.

    I am happy for you, but am not sure what that has to do with the subject of this forum "Window 11 taskbar auto-hide turning off".

    Do you mean that the Window 11 taskbar auto-hide setting is stable on (KB5039302)?

    Same problem here in June of 2024. Is there no registry edit I can do to force taskbar to stay on auto-hide? This is not a laptop, MSI desktop with 2 monitors.

    Nonononono - periodically I have to respond to the same point. I have 2 computers set up, one with a second monitor and one that has been stand-alone until very recently. Like everyone else who is on win11, I have had the problem since I installed the programme at the very beginning. In fact, for a long time, the task bar performance was perfect on my dual monitor system but did not work on my standalone laptop. Now, most of the time on my dual screen, the hide works fine on both laptop and monitor. Sometimes, however, the one on the monitor will stick, so that I have to tranfer what I am viewing to the laptop screen to complete actions, such as in a word doc.

    I haven't monitored the standalone laptop recently, with or without its new monitor, but I must do so.

    As I have said many times before, my experiences seem to have little to do with whether or not I have a monitor connected, but more with the mood of the app, as far as I can tell... Microsoft, please sort this problem out, and also bring back tiny icons - the amount of real estate used by this taskbar is not just annoying, it's downright inconvenient.

    I am having the exact same issue. However, my home laptop is an HP Envy / AMD Ryzen, not ASUS and that software is not on my system. My work laptop is a Dell - same issue.

    Also similar - I have multiple monitors connected through a USB hub (all setups).

    Ideally for me, notifications from things like Teams would NEVER cause the taskbar to pop up. Ever. It is highly annoying and costs me time both at work and at home. I am so sick and tired of screen-robbing "features."
