When I go to the "remove pin", the button is grayed out. I contacted HP tech support & they said that's a software issue. I was able to turn it off in Win 10, but when I rec'd my new laptop that was supposed to have Win 10 installed, it turned out to be Win 11. Anyone have a fix?

From this link, you can shut it off completely by modifying the registry. I just did it, put the computer to sleep, and it wakes back up right where it was.

So in the registry editor, go to:

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\default\Settings\AllowSignInOptions

    Set the 'value' to zero.

    Best, Dan.

Hi, I've followed **** this link from the Remove PIN Using ‘I Forgot my PIN’ Option part and it removed the PIN successfully.

I understand that, but we should have an option to do the 2 step/pin number/or whatever other means to lock and unlock. I dont use Edge, but, just like all the other browsers, we have an option to save the passwords or not.
