How do I turn off PIN login on Windows 11?

I am about to lose my ****!!!! this option is no longer available. I want it off. ugh. @microsoft needs to remove this option asap. There is no reason under planet earth to force people to have a pin.

Just setting - account - your info - sign in with local account instead

And leave the password blank....

In answer to a couple of previous comments, this is a repost of my earlier instructions.

FIRST, before you do this, you need to figure out what it is you have and what you're wanting. If you're on a laptop with a potential (even uncommon) that others may geain access to it, you definitely WANT a security log on such as a PIN. If you're at home, nobody else around, and feel very secure, you can do without a log in security (PIN).

There are two ways to remove the seurity login (PIN). The first is from my previous post which dealt with the initial installation process. Windows 11 now won't allow this so there are two work arounds below.

I, just within the last two hours, did a new install of Windows 11 22H2.

This is "Old School". In prior versions of Windows it was possible, but not explained, that when it asked for your name and to create a password, IF YOU IGNORED ALL THE REST OF THE LINES, and simply clicked next, it kindly ignored the requirement in the future.

Here's the key, under Accounts > Your info, there is a section called Account Settings. You probably originally entered or created a Microsoft account at installation. That set you up as part of a "community" called Microsoft Community (that may be less than secure) that theoretically could hack your computer. Changing that to a Local account says all you deal with is "local" (your own home) environment and no one else has access to it. The wording may not be exact, but the words should be clear.

It tries to warn you about this, but continue and you'll finally be able to restart, start, switch user, etc. without having to deal with this issue.

Here it is a little clearer.

Go to the user area and try to change the TYPE of account to LOCAL. In the process, if it asks for a PIN or Password, give it a name, but ignore the rest and click Next, Okay, or whatever it says. It should remove the requirment for a PIN in the future.

If that doesn't work, here's the next step.

Go to the User Account area and make a new account user. In the process, set it up as a LOCAL account by saying you don't have any account information, etc. in the question process. When you get to the final Name / Password block, enter a name of your choice, but leave everything else on that page blank. Hit the Okay return key and it will accept it as a new local account not requiring a login PIN or Password.

Now, Reset this new user to Administrator status.

Finally either log out and log back in as the new user or turn the computer off, then on, and select the new user for login. Once logged in, go to the user section and delete the original user. You now have only one log in user who is on a local network and doesn't require a PIN or Password. It should start, login, and give you your desktop automatically in the future.

The disable/remove option is not available for me i cannot remove it
