When I go to the "remove pin", the button is grayed out. I contacted HP tech support & they said that's a software issue. I was able to turn it off in Win 10, but when I rec'd my new laptop that was supposed to have Win 10 installed, it turned out to be Win 11. Anyone have a fix?

My sincere apologies, I don't think I understand very well.

The PIN issue you removed right?

But you want to login without password in Windows, and even unchecking the Netplwiz box, you are asked for the password, is that it?

Could you share a screenshot of the Netplwiz screen?

Search online for "windows sign-in options and account protection"

Choose the support.microsoft.com..... site from the results.

Click "go to sign-in options" button

It will open a settings page

From PIN (Windows Hello) bar, you can remove the PIN requirement.

    Thank you for the informations.

Indeed, you can uncheck the box of Netplwiz to perform login password.

After performing the procedures, did everything work as you wanted?
