Windows 11 || Remove work or school account

Hi All,

I am using windows 11 home. I want to remove the work or school account as I am not using that account anymore. But I am not getting an option to remove the account from my system. I am not using that account in any of the apps and all the apps related to that account are deleted.

I searched online for the same. Usually, the option is to right-click on the account and delete it. But I am not getting that delete option.

Please let me know how to proceed.

In the attached screenshot, the account highlighted in maroon is the one which I want to remove.

    Magic! After hours of searching I found where this link is hiding. Why there is no "disconnect" button on these accounts in the accounts page no-one will ever know, but Dave is right on the money :-)

    I didn't understand your reply at first.

    I was unable to remove the account under "Email & accounts" entry, but once I went into "Access work or school" entry, I saw the "Disconnect" button in the account I wanted to remove.

    You are a lifesaver! I had a School account from a university but I changed university and they deleted my old account and I was getting this pop-up telling me to log in and interrupting my games. I just removed the account. Thanks a lot!

    It is not necessary to have access to the Work or School account you want to remove. The only requirement to remove it, is to be logged on with administrative privileges on your computer.

    You can logon to your computer with a local or Microsoft account that is in the administrators group, as described in the article above.
