Windows 11 || Remove work or school account

Hi All,

I am using windows 11 home. I want to remove the work or school account as I am not using that account anymore. But I am not getting an option to remove the account from my system. I am not using that account in any of the apps and all the apps related to that account are deleted.

I searched online for the same. Usually, the option is to right-click on the account and delete it. But I am not getting that delete option.

Please let me know how to proceed.

In the attached screenshot, the account highlighted in maroon is the one which I want to remove.

    Hi! I actually found this fix myself. When you're in Settings > Accounts, scroll down to Access work or school and you'll see the work/school account listed there. You'll be able to remove it from that settings panel, vs Email & accounts. Hope this helps!

    I face some trouble with my University account on this issue.

    Go to "settings" > > Go to "Accounts" > > Go to "Access Work or School" > > Click on the account you want to remove and select "Disconnect"

    you can go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school. Select your account and then click Disconnect

    Hello,

    I have three work/school accounts listed on SETTINGS-> ACCOUNTS -> EMAIL & ACCOUNTS (Windows 11).

    There are no options to "manage"/ delete / remove

    One of the accounts I set up as a "child account" and when I select "remove" it informs me that only the adult can remove the account and suggests I ask them (but I was the one that added the account).

    Every time I try and use OneDrive/email it tries to log me into one of the accounts that are no non-active.

    I am thinking the easiest way us to re-install windows 11 but I am not sure that the accounts will be "remembered" in the cloud / OneDrive.

    Any thoughts on deleting accounts which could be a security threat is greatly recieved.

    Check all browsers used on laptop to be sure history/cookies/cache deleted from all. Also check Credential Manager for saved credentials for the account and remove it.
