Windows 11 with AX210/AX211 unable to see 6GHz network using the latest drivers.

First, only Win 11 will show the 6GHz radio. Secondly you may need to be with a newer driver to make sure it will work.

After that, try to use WPA3-Personal security for the 6 GHz network.

I've tried the latest manufacturer driver 22.130.0.5, latest Intel driver 22.140.0.3, and even 22.150.0.3 and none of them can see the 6GHz network. Only when I switch to the old 22.45.1.1 does it see the 6GHz network. This is with Windows 11 and factory installed AX210/AX211 adapters on two of the computers. The other two are running Windows 10 and have the exact same issue. They can only see the 6GHz network using the old driver which Microsoft provided to Windows Insider Preview to initially enable Wi-Fi 6E in Windows 10.

Oh, if you are using the AX11000 router, that is a Wi-Fi 6, not a Wi-Fi 6e device. You need the AXE11000 0r the new AXE16000

I went from an AX-11000 to the AXE-16000. Just didn't change the network name. Even tried the AXE-11000. Still cannot see the 6GHz network.

Dell hasn't confirmed whether the XPS 9520 supports Wi-Fi 6E, if they have intentionally disabled, or if their specifications need updating yet. I actually started that thread, and am awaiting Dell's official response, along with this one for my Precision 7560 which does support Wi-Fi 6E.

It has to be a software issue otherwise it wouldn't even work with the old 22.45.1.1 driver.

Have you made any changes to your registry that had been recommended earlier?

Since Windows 11 supports native Wi-Fi 6E, I have not made any registry edits to those computers.

I would reinstall the latest drivers for the card but first uninstall the Wi-Fi device and all of its drivers.

I've tried that. You can actually use the device manager in Windows 11 to view devices by driver and uninstall them all.

I am currently running the AXE16000 so if you want to compare settings, we can do that. I only change a couple of things on my router so pretty simple stuff.

I have sent my configuration file, as well as my system log file to Asus along with my issues.

You might also try enabling Smart Connect to see if it can find the radio. Do you have the AX211 or the AX210 and which generation of processor?

Normally I use separate networks to configure different clients, i.e. 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz-1, 5GHz-2, and recently 6Ghz. I tried Smart connect and am still unable to see 6GHz networks.

For the two Windows 11 computers I have a i7-12700H with an AX211, and i7-11800H with an AX210. Both are shipped this way from Dell.

I suppose you could also check the wireless section on the Router and look at the Professional tab to make sure the radio is enabled.

Wi-Fi 6E is enabled and functional as my S21 Ultra can connect to the 6GHz band. See the screenshot of both the GT-AXE16000 and GT-AXE11000 broadcasting 6GHz.

I was disappointed to see they took the Wi-Fi sniffer out of the AXE16000 although it did not work on the AXE11000 for the 6 GHz radio.

I still need to know the processor you are using and the exact Wi-Fi card. The reason is the AX211 in a card with the CNVio interface. So, it uses chipset components and the chipset would need to be Wi-Fi 6e capable, which only seems to happen on the 12th Gen Intel processors (don't know about AMD.)

An AX210 is self-contained and will work fine if that is the card you have installed.

You seem to have what you need and should be able to see the 6 GHz radio. I put my 2.5 and 5 GHz networks on the same SSID so I could use 5G-2 for backhaul but I left the 6 GHz network as a different SSID. Mine has worked fine as soon as they released Win 11.

If you want to try, there may be someone in the ROG forum that would have some ideas..
