My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

    There were no updates available or mine. It is a MS Surface laptop. Spent an hour on phone with Microsoft service tech yesterday, and ran a diagnostic test that found a problem and then fixed it, so we'll see what happens. No problems so far.

    I had the same problem and tried all the fixes provided here but none worked. Then I used my update from Dell computer and updated 5 programs and the Bios, now everything back to normal. I haven't seen my computer lock up since so I'm guessing that is solved as well. I know that HP has updates and probably all the other brands so look at this fix as well.

    From an old man that has trouble understanding the non english speaking presenters in these videos that has a new MS refurb Surface laptop 4 running win 11 that has just out of the blue started going to sleep and nothing wakes it up except holding down the power button for 30 seconds (which someone from ms store phone line told me to try. I have it set to never go to sleep which I thought fixed it, but it happened again since then. Before this it was randomly shutting down when on internet and rebooting on its own. I might be in the middle of something and have 2 or more sites open for research and it would just pop up and say it had a problem and needed to restart. So I would loose everything I was in the middle of. Now it does not seem to be doing that any more, but if I leave it alone for 1/2 hour or so, it will just go tosleep. I can see lights on fn key when I press it, but nothing else works to start it up again. After finding out about the pressing power button for 30 seconds, I can get it going again, but have to restart anything that I was doing.

    HAVE THEY FOUND ANY ANSWER FOR THIS? Just bought wife a cheap Gateway win 11 that doesn't do these things. But MS own machine is terrible. Can one go back to windows 10?
